The Denver Nuggets will look to keep their stellar season going when they face another team high on confidence, the Memphis Grizzlies, on Monday night. Both teams are well over 0.500 for the season.
Grizzlies beat Bucks to add momentum to away run
The Grizzlies have started their away run in fine form. They have put up two quality wins, against Chicago and Milwaukee, to move to 29-26 for the season. They have also won three of their last four. They thrashed the Bucks 128-115 in their previous game.
What was said?
“I just know we have guys that are competitive,” Grayson Allen said. “When you get on the road and things get tough, everyone on our team raises our level and we come out with a lot of fight.”
As reported by AP: Brandon Clarke missed a second straight game with a sore right hip. The Grizzlies also were missing De’Anthony Melton (sore left leg) and Justise Winslow (sore right thigh). Winslow last played on March 27 and Melton last played on April 4. Killian Tillie went to the locker room early in the second quarter with a cut to his mouth but eventually returned to the game.

Nuggets in control of season despite Murray injury
The Nuggets have been in sensational form right through these last few weeks. They have progressed quickly to 36-20 for the season after winning their last two games, including a 128-99 blowout of the Houston Rockets in their previous game.
According to AP, Jokic dominated in the paint, hitting 10 of 12 field goals and adding 16 rebounds. Jokic fell three assists shy of his 16th triple-double of the season and second in as many games. He played just 27 minutes in the game and not at all in the fourth quarter.
What was said?
“What makes him the MVP is he hasn’t missed any games, he has this team — and we’ve had some injuries — in the top four of a very deep and talented Western Conference,” Nuggets coach Michael Malone said. “And then you talk about his stats and efficiency, and it’s historical numbers. We’re fortunate to have him and we all realize that.”

4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as a road underdog.
4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.
The Bottom Line
What to bet on this game.
Full-Game Side Bet
This is a prediction against the trend. The Nuggets have suffered a big injury to Jamal Murray, ruled out for the season, but have far exceeded expectations this season. They are now 36-20 for the season with a win percentage of 64.3%. However, the Grizzlies are not to be underestimated, especially when they play with the same level of spirit. They will certainly compete and challenge the tall Nuggets and make them work for every point. That is why I’d back them from preventing a double-possession loss, if not for an outright win.

Full-Game Total Pick
This is a very tricky handicap. That’s because these are two unpredictable offensive teams. The Grizzlies can suddenly find shooting efficiency just as easily as they can lose that. The Nuggets are scoring an average of 115.3 points per game, fourth in the NBA. The Grizzlies have been a strong defensive team, posting 46 rebounds per game, also fourth in the league. They are scoring an average of 113.4 points per game, 14th in the NBA. All said and done, I’d back both these teams to perform just below their usual par to keep the points total under.
